This is one of those images, that I like only because I was there to see it in the great morning light with the fog still lingering. It may not work that great otherwise, but I would be interested in your feedback. I processed this with the same preset Simplify as before. Some shadow work and NIKs Tonal Contrast.

    Hope you like it.

When I see a scene with such contrast, I immediately think black & white (ambrotype in this case because of the morning sunlight). When I tried it, the tonal range was good, but it lacked the spark that the color gives. It must've been a treat to have been there. This is one of those images that becomes better the longer I look at it.

Thanks Dennis, I'm having a color management problem again, meaning time to reload everything from fresh. Here is another attempt at what I am seeing on my desk monitor which is decidedly different from the browser version, which a bit to saturated. It doesn't help the composition though :).

OK.....I can't tell what is happening with color and lighting from my system to what you are seeing. So, giving up until I do a complete system re-install. Sorry, for the waste of time...............

Hi Jay, I like your idea but IMO the fence posts are being lost in the overall busyness of the subject matter...

Hi Dave, yes. Not sure I can get this to work the way I saw it in the field. I may try a few more things just to see. Really appreciate the feedback.

Very nice composition, Jay. I like your repost... the light and shadow is magical and comes out well in the reduced saturation. Excellent work!
