    Hi guys,

Have decided to become a member and hope to be around more often from June onwards.
I have been so busy with fieldwork lately, were trying to band as many godwits as possible which means trying to find nests full time. Its great work to do and I am really getting fund of these lovely birds and their habbits! This one was alarming to the others in the colony that a buzzard was flying over. Taken in late afternoon light.

Nice job to have! And a fairly decent image to have as well. I like the open beak with the tongue. It shows mid action, almost a throaty sound can be heard as I am viewing it.

Cool one buddy....great angle and natural perch. I agree that the OOF forground is slightly disturbing in this one....but that's what happens when you get low :-) This one certainly looks stressed....and you captured it at the right time. Well done! Greetings from Texas!

Excellent work, Krijn. I really like the composition. Catching your subject during a call is a big plus. Great head angle with the look back. Very well done.

EDIT: And thanks for your support! ;)

Very nice! Love the low angle and action. Wish the OOF foreground was level....

Very painterly look to this one, the soft OOF grass makes a nice setting for a wonderfully capture subject.

Great capture Krijn. I would consider cropping the OOF bottom off.
