    Very nice, Peter. what a beautiful bird. I really liked the angle of the bird and you got a very good head turn. Some distraction are there yes, but not much you can do if that is the habitat. You might want to try to tone down some of the bright areas in the BG.

    Interesting species Peter and a nice shot of the bird with good detail and exposure on it. The BG is pretty busy with different colours, shades and patterns. KD had a good suggestion to tone down highlites. I would get rid of the second eye catch from the flash.

    Hi Peter, well exposed on both the yellows and blacks, and the angled pose shows him off nicely. Im with the BG too, apart from the two white areas above the head.

    Pretty bird, and good comments above regarding the BG. I find the image to look over-flashed; do you recall if you used any flash exposure compensation, and if so, how much?

    yes I agree it would have helped to reduce the flash.
