Fine image with great action and very nice detail. Might lighten up the eye just a bit.

This is a great image made on that day of a near-blinding snowstorm! Really nice posture on the penguin with his flippers stretched out. You must have been sitting in a hole in the snow to get such a nice low angle. Agree with lightening the eye a bit. If you are inclined, you might remove the dark smudges on the belly. Just for a nicer look. I love how the snow flakes look against the deep colors of the bkgd.

I think we all had a terrific time together!

    Thanks Nancy and Joe,
think you are right by lightening the eye could improve the image.

Nancy i generally never make this kind of cosmetic clean up to my images, so sorry i leave the darker natural dirt in the white feathers.

Excellent image Andreas! Looks like he is tobogganing down the hill. I like the snow, sharpness, setting, exposure and composition.

Great exposure on the blacks but esp the whites of the belly feathers!!! Love the action captured and the snow flurries.

    Hi Andreas,

Great low angle and love the raised wing. I am not too fond of the dark background behind the Macaroni. Looks like you could add a bit more light as the detail in the snow and on the blacks are darker than they were in real life. If it were mine I would also lighten the eye a bit (but that's a matter of personal taste).

Snowflakes on the penguin due to high shutter speed are nice and tight and not oof white blurs.

Big improvement on bkgd and black of the penguin. Still think the snow in foreground could be lighter.
