Shot this past weekend at Conowingo Dam in Maryland. I was using my Canon EOS MK4, 600mm with 1.4 TC, ISO 1000, f/5.6, SS 2000. This is about a 30% crop.

Great shot . Exposed very well and lots of nice detail in both the dark and light. Wing position is nice and the water falling off the fish is perfect. Well done.

sweet, love the fish, water drops and the BG. I would tone down the brightest whites a tad.

    Very cool action.
I see a sharpening halo around the belly and feet.
Water droplets and fish are great.

Terrific catch, Nick. Love the wing position, water drops. I've been thinking about Conowingo; now I'll definitely have to make the trip.

Neat action and water drops falling. The horizon line makes me think it may need CW rotation, and I would smooth out the blotch in URC. All else looks fantastic!

    Nick

Tremendous action, nice lighting, well captured. Do agree with Gail about the halo along the bottom of the bird, and with Daniel about smoothing the blobs in the BG on right.

    Well done!

    Cheers

Sensational moment captured, Nick. Talk about a decisive moment. Great pose, prey, exposure, and details.
