    Default Black-bellied Plover

Another shorebird that we are now finding quite regularly at Miquelon Lake during fall migration is the Black-bellied Plover. The shoreline and the lake were full of mosquitoes and there was some garbage left by the campers, so I cloned most of them out as much as possible.

Nice reflection, BG and framing but it lacks the fine detail. The one on your flickr is tack-sharp.

D'oh, you're right, and I'm also disappointed with the quality with the above photo. I must have forgotten to sharpen after resizing. Here's the repost:

Thanks for pointing it out Tim!

Nice position. Re-post looks better. I think I would crop it tighter and not include the full reflection.

Nice plumage. I like the foraging pose. The reflection is of high enough quality that I
think it is definitely worth including. The repost is much sharper. A consideration would
be to shift the subject slightly to the right in the frame. Nice job getting low and getting
    on the light axis.

Hi Raymond, good feeding pose, low shooting angle, and I like clean water. I agree with Shawn, moving back to the right will work, and if you keep the reflection, I would add a touch to the bottom. Repost has turned out so much better.

I like the placement of the bird as is (left to right), but I would definitely add some canvas below to clear the tail reflection from clipping the edge. Good exposure, details (on the repost), reflection. I like the feeding behaviour too.
