I like this shot because it shows the environment the eagles live in so well. They often perch right in the reeds.
This eagle was standing with an adult on a sand bar. When they saw us motoring up the river, the adult flew away from us but the juvie flew directly towards us.

Excellent capture Gail...Love the incoming flight pose, nice wing position, nice light angle...good that sky has definition to it and inclusion of habitat is big plus..sharpness and details are spot on.

Nice! I like the action of the bird, the yellow in the plants and the look of the sky. The composition works well.

I really like the habitat here Gail, and the Eagle looks intense.
    Very nice pastel colors.

I like the overall composition. I like the position of the eagle in the frame and his wing and head position. Wondering if a little more light on his head would improve this?? But beautiful as presented...

Hi Gail, well placed in the frame, and the late afternoon light looks good. You have brought out the underwing detail nicely, and I like that we can both the foliage below, and hint of clouds in the sky. Well captured.

Gail this work so nicely, like the habitat and clouds, it make this shot that much more interesting. I also like the comp and eagle placement, very cool TFS.

Gail - excellent flight shot and position in the frame. The clouds and plants really add a lot. So when are we going to see some postings in wildlife from your recent trip?

    TFS,
    Rachel
