Default Red Kite pulling G (TOPSIDE VIEW)

One of my buddies makes a tight turn a ways from the back door.
Of course I wish he was closer but what struck me was how clean and tight his "fuselage" is.

**** Richard. Nice pose and good exposure, interesting top view and eye contact. IQ is not the best for some reason. Is it a big crop?. TFS.

You captured a nice moment here. The composition, stretched wings, and head angle are all great.

Like you mentioned, it would have been nice for a closer shot as this one looks heavily cropped. The IQ just isn't optimal. Look forward to seeing some more if you have them.

Something really strnage about the jpeg -- I am seeing light area surrounding the bird that is wider than typical sharpening artifacts, plus almost no detail in the feathers. Is this a huge crop? Or something wrong in the processing?
    Nice pose.

Hi it looks like a buzzard ? not a red kite, it could do with a bit more USM as it dose not look very sharp.

Loving the angle of the bird in this one, and nice eye contact, looking very menacing

I like the top view, eye contact and wing position. Agree with the IQ comments.

A wonderful pose but the bird is not at all sharp and fine detail is completely lacking. Where was it photographed?

Great banking shot! I would re-crop such that the distance of the left wing tip to the top edge and the distance of the right wing tip to the bottom edge are the same, apply some smart sharpening, and desaturate the blue.

    Hi Arthgur and all
bird was photo'd in the Alentejo, Ourique Portugal, now: I had been watching a large number of kites around the house
oddly this "looks" more Buzzard like? not sure if thats just the angle, I will check some additional frames.
atm the issue for me is that I am not close enough as I said in the OP. Having said that, I had wanted to keep posting
as Im sure folk will be interested in my current location; and lets ball see how these shots develop as I get more opps!
I am working on a laptop in a remote area!

Definately not a Red Kite. Completely the wrong plumage and shape. Buzzards and Kites will move around together as they are both scavengers.

    regards.
