    Default Color in the Snow

This original image is one of my favorites because of the contrast of the brilliant colors of the leaves against the snow. I used Topaz Simplify, Oil Paint, and Topaz Detail erased off of the snow. This photo was made on Hwy 32 south of Cosby Tn.

This blast of color is great against the dark & white bkgd. I like that you reduced the leaves to more color and less detail and that they arc through the image. The vertical tree trunks and the subtle yellows pull your eye gently up through the image. Just lovely.

Love the colors and the image design. The effect is a bit over-done for my tastes.

Wonderful composition, Judy! I like the idea of selectively taking out the snow. It really stands out!

Those bright oranges against the snow are wonderful. I like the diagonal composition. The lines in this image are wonderful--tree trunks vertical, line of bushes diagonal, lines in the snow diagonal. Excellent processing. An excellent and beautiful image.

Thanks Indranil! (I didn't take out the snow, that's the way it was.)
