    Default South Georgia Pintail

With all those penguins around I had to force myself to photograph the other types of birds on South Georgia. This is the only duck species that is on the island.

    Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 400 f4 DO IS, 1/1250, f5.6, ISO 400, exp. comp. +1, tripod

    c & c most appreciated.

Nice pose captured and excellent details, Nancy. The beak confused me for a second then I realized it is not our Pintail.

    Great shot.
I really like the shooting angle, great pose, very nice details, and I love the that we can see the eye in the reflection.
    Well done.

    Nancy:

I like the icy environment, raised foot, good display of bill.

Based on the reflection of the eye, it needs a couple degrees of CCW rotation.

Good to see the non penguin inhabitants!

    Cheers

I agree with rotation. Nice details, foot up is good, and a great view of the neat bill.

Thanks, all! Now I see that it does need a bit of rotation.
