    Taken last week while preparing for next year's photo tour in the Chilkat Valley, Alaska. What a spectacular place, between hundreds of Eagles to spectacular landscapes it was a highlight of my year. I'll be going back November 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 2013

    A beautiful crisp, clean eagle on a very photogenic perch. For me I would prefer not to have the snow blur over that perch. Sounds like a super place!

    Matthew:

    Excellent pose, soft light,BG. Interesting effect from the snow, I suspect you took it from a slightly higher perspective as well, would be interesting to compare the two versions.

    Cheers

    I really like the perch and the great head angle. Very sharp photo. I like the background colour as well.

    Hi Matthew, I like the stately pose, well exposed, and an interesting perch. I too like the fading snow in the FG.

    Snow and cold looking environment adds so nicely, lots to like. I also like the low angle and head turn well done.

    This is just awesome, Matthew. So very artistically done. Just love the eagle's pose, the upward sweep of the perch, the feeling of tranquility, the drifting snow, and your techs are perfect.

    Arrrrgh !,.....this is excellent, the misty snow adds a very nice touch, emphasizes the cold in my opinion { well does for me as snow is non existent here }
