Early morning in Masai Mara. Mother and three cubs out walking on the savanna. Cubs running around in all direction and mum having some work to do to keep track of them. Very sweet to watch.

    C&C appreciated

Slightly cropped, levels adjusted, some clarity, sharpening and noise reduction done.

Hi Gregor, I like the balance & composition on this one, plus a different 'perspective' on things too.

Interesting that the cub is looking at you, not Mum. Even at f/4 I would have expected more detail/sharpness on the cub, so perhaps some localised USM may help here? Not sure how much area the NR has covered, but it looks like even the front part of the cub ie chest/legs, if so I would mask this out to reveal more of the cub. If you are using LR then one thing you might like to consider is just a hint of vignetting all round just to draw more focus on the cub or, a slight gradient either top down, bottom up, or a bit of both? Personally I would remove the grass stem on the back of Mums mane LHS.

Gregor - I really like the comp and idea of this. As Steve said, a different perspective. Good points and suggestions by Steve about the sharpness and detail, particularly on the chest of the cub. Definitely an image worth putting in some time on.

I like the comp/story and the light on thed cub. I too feel the fine detail is a bit lacking...and think it could stand some rotation to get the cub standing 'upright'...
