    Jon:

Love the feet, the wings up, spread tail pose. Light well off to the right gives some modeling and depth to the subject, but I would consider a bit of dodging of the face and other shadow areas, just a touch.

Because of the head angle and pose, could trim a bit off the right, at the risk of going a bit square with the crop. The diagonals from the wings are strong enough that it would still be dynamic with a bit squarer crop.

    Cheers

Hi Jon, looks like you are getting good use from the 5D Mark III. Good DOF on the Gull, and I like the inflight pose. Nicely separated from the water BG, and I do like space, so I would leave the comp as is.

Johnathan, excellent pose frozen. I am liking the light. Well exposed and processed.

    Hey Jon,
love the pose and very well done given the light angle was against you. Good advice above but all in all a nice capture!

    Jonathan:
Excellent incoming flight pose captured.I like the effect of side lights on gull, composition and the way it pops up against blue water.
Love the wing position, feet and half lit tail feathers.

    Regards,
    Satish.
