I really love the perch, berries and the muted colors here. Sharpness just right.

This is beautiful image. I really loved the perch and BG...I would try and clone the OOF berry in LRC..

Hi Jon, you have outdone yourself in this - excellent IQ, and just love the array of colours, especially the yellow lichen. I also like the detail on the goldfinch, and that the 'perch' is not too busy. Sharpness spot on, and your BG is great.

    Great catching up earlier.

Perch is killer, nice pose, great BG and sweet pose from the bird. This one really rocks, Jon.

    Jon:

Lots of fun colors here, bird looks good, nice pose, good BG.

The balance in the image might be improved by a small crop from the top.

    Strong work here!

    Cheers

Jonathan, this one really caught my attention. I like the composition. The colors in the bird and bg are complimentary. The yellow branch picks up the bit of yellow in the wing. The techs are right on with good feather detail and exposure. Consider removing the small white twig in the left lower quad.

It's hard to stop looking at this image. The warm colors and rich detail all work so beautifully together. Really smashing work.

What a treat. Love how the yellow in the perch picks up the yellow in the wing. I would consider a trim from the top and then off the left side to balance. Great design and execution of your idea.

Thank you so much everyone - much appreciated.
A few little things like the OOF berry and the fibrous strand are for me acceptable, I respect your alternative opinions but I tend to think sometimes these sorts of images can look a little too clean perhaps a little too perfect and nature is just not always like that.
