    Default Old Sunflowers

Sorry for my long absence of photos. I've been busy with other things, but I'm finally now getting back to processing photos. I took this photo back in August when my family and I went to Colby Farm(the farm where we get hay from) to see their sunflower field.

I desaturated the image a bit and then added 3 textures from Shadowhouse Creations, 1 texture by Kim Klassen, and 1 of my own texures.

I knew this was yours at first glance. So very "Christopher" . Glad to see you back. Nice front to back comp. I think I would have eliminated that little one at the lower line, center. Distracted me. And maybe cloned out that dark spot on the big one, right side. Nice texture work.

Very effectively done. I like your use of textures, and the yellow tone is certainly right with sunflowers. The composition is nice, too. Looks like you were up really close with a wide angle lens. Good job seeing the potential that had.

Christopher, welcome back We've missed your wonderful work. I love the image and the textures. I would remove the 2 round black dots - one on the right hand edge a little above the middle and one on the left hand edge about 1/3 from the bottom. I hope we see more!

I also knew it was one of yours when I saw the thumbnail. I missed your always-interesting "old" photos. Very nice work on the sunflowers. The textures work well. I agree on removing the dots.

Great composition, Christopher. Even with the subtle lighting and textures the big flower just jumps right out! Excellent!

Hi! Great to see one of your photos. I love the composition in this one. That one large sunflower on the right backed up by sunflower fields. Your texture work, as always, is lovely.
