    That's a pretty mean stare-down Christopher - were you scared? I love that silky autumn background. Also very nice detail in the bird and a good perch. For some reason the centered composition works well for me in this one.

    A great composition Chris and that stare is so penetrating..!! Very sharp subject, textured perch and sweet BG provide lots of impact to this image.

    Good details, great BG, neat perch. Love that huge hind claw. I wouldn't mind having the subject a bit higher in the frame, but still not bad as is.

    Hi Chris, great eye contact, and I like the soft colours on the nuthatch, and great view of the foot. I do like the BG colours, and I too would like to see him higher in the frame.

    Can't get any better eye contact than that. Love the golden bg, and interesting perch. Another very different nuthatch look. Got any more?
