    Default Snowy Strike x2

    Thought I'd share this one just for fun. It's really more about the splash than the bird. Snowy Egrets often seem to tuck their wings into that position when they strike, which in this case makes the bird look more like a plucked chicken on the supermarket shelf. But I did like the splash and the reflection. From Jamaica Bay in August.

    Bill;

    The shooting angle, reflection, splashes, make this rock. I think it is great fun, and it encourages to look around to take it all in.

    TFS, this one is great.

    Cheers

    Excellent image Bill! I like the reflection, exposure, calm water and splashes that look like glass.

    I love this! The play of blues and white is beautiful.
    Great reflection and I like the splash-especially the triangular 'wall" of water.
    Very different and eye catching,
    Gail

    Love the symmetry, This looks cool when rotated counter clockwise 90 degrees to a vertical. Something for out of the box.

    Thank you for sharing this with us. The reflection and splash are outstanding. It is a photo like this that allows us to throw away all of our picky composition rules.

    It's the splash that makes this one so good Bill. And then there's the perfect symmetry .....

    Wow Bill that action sure adds loads of impact to the image, and the near perfect reflection emphasizes this action even further. Top shot..!!

    I love these types of splashing reflecting images. I got some similar one but as silhouettes a couple of years ago and they remain my personal faves to this day. This is a graphically very strong image, super nicely done!
