    Default Resting Tiger

Prompted by the current usage, a recent film I watch shot by the Irish film crew who produced one of many films on Tigers in India, including 'Broken tail' and who I shared a brief time with in Ranthambore, so I thought I would post this one. A little tight widthwise, but cropped from portrait to landscape for a particular usage, sorry.

Steve - the color and clarity on this are outstanding. They combine to create, for lack of a better word, a richness to the image and the tiger's coat. The tiger certainly looks relaxed and content. Of course I wish that one pesky blade of grass wasn't across the face but that's nature. I would think about more of a pano crop to get rid of some of the specular highlights at the top.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Hi Steve,
Agree with Rachel on the color, clarity, and richness she sees. I like how the grass is flattened and sloped in front with the bits rising above the tiger in the back. Also like the addition of the different clump of green in the BG. Grass off the rump looks a touch hot. It's nice to see a tiger again, found the thin stripes on this one interesting.

Hi Rachel & Steve, here you go Rachel. More pano, which does work so thanks for the suggestion.

    Steve, spot on .

Just quickly knocked the grass back, not ideal, but quickly done with a 50% mask, need to go back to the original, on the printed version it's more subtle thank goodness.

    cheers

I also like both but, if I had to pick one, I'd go with the pano. You did such a great job PP'ing this Tiger that is looks real enough to reach out and pet.

Love seeing a tiger again, have been missing them. Good suggestions so have nothing further to add.

Great pose of the Tiger...it's color always gets me, almost like fire in the dry grass!
For me personally, the edited crop works better.

    Hi Steve,
besides the IQ, as always good like the peaceful tiger in the grass.Colors work great , reminding me to my time in R.

I would go for the OP, to tight for my taste the RP.A bit more room to LHS would be great.Toning down the hot looking grass on RHS , could be a thing to think about.

Nice one Steve, and always good to see tigers.

    TFS Andreas
