Here is another quick upload from Alaska. Jim and I are having a fun (but cold) time with the eagles. The BG is the distant mountain with snow which constitutes much of eagles habitat

    1D4 600mm f/4 1/1600sec ISO1000. See the HD version here

A wonderful head-on view Arash, well captured - the HD version looks awesome on my 24" monitor. The dark tones look a little light to me.

Nothing like the even light produced by overcast skies for Bald Eagles. Another excellent frame! I love how well you can see both eyes.

Nice comin at ya pose. I too like the even light of the overcast day. Looks like you are shooting at the low end of your BIF settings but still getting excellent results. Like the BG also. Stay warm and Keep em comin.

Sweet! This is the best background I've seen you post of the eagles that you are
shooting up there. Compositionally, I think centering the subject a bit more is worth
considering...up and down placement looks great, just a slight shift to the right with
the bird is what I'm suggesting....Looks like you are getting some great fill light from
    the snowy surroundings!

Fantastic head on image, Arash. THe eagle stands out so well against that background, and that soft even light is wonderful.

Great shot but it looks a tad over exposed to me.

Nice one and great background. I like the eye contact.
If it were mine, I'd apply just a little CCW rotation by running the ruler through the eyes and hit the straighten button in CS6.
    Stay warm!
