    Sorry for the poor IQ. This was a very large crop, as I was some distance away from the bird in low light
    The habitat is a wet woodland area at Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve
    Fishers, Indiana 3-17-12

    Looks like a perfectly normal female Rusty to me. The habitat looks correct as well. That love those mucky wooded areas.

    Thanks Paul. That is a life bird for me. I had the date wrong-I saw this bird on 4-6-12. Would this be breeding or non-breeding plumage?

    At that date I'd assume breeding, but I don't know that there's much difference for adult females.
