Hi Colin ,MAN I love Spoonbills . This is a Nice one too ! One suggestion I can come up with is , to leave some room in the frame for the bird to " Fly into " .
Love the back lighting coming through the wings ,and the fact you were that close !

I haven't been to the Alligator farm since I was a kid .........That was in the early 70s . I'm due a visit !

Clyde, I agree that there should be more room on the left. I'll have to take it into PS and add some canvas since there is almost no room on the left to move the crop into. I'll also need to do the same on the top of the image as well. The orignal is framed with the spoonbill near the top and left edges of the image.

I don't have anything to add Colin. I "ditto" everything Clyde said, including the love for Spoonbills (but I haven't ever been to Alligator Farm. ;).

Nice shot Colin, vibrant, clear and the subject is prominent in the frame. Only thing I can add to the above: Clone out the white blotches in the background, especially those behind the bird. Doing so would make the bird "pop" even more against the background. Keep'em coming!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Randall, now that I take another look at it, you're right the white blotches really do detract, especially the one directly behind the spoonbill. I'll see what I can do (with my still learning PP skills), and get a revised image posted.
