Such a beautiful portrait, Lorant! From that curve of the neck to the water droplet, it's just killer. Great detail and IQ.

Superb portriat of a pretty bird. The droplet makes it so special. Nice even light also.

That is a portrait with impact Lorant - sharp, very well composed and that hanging water-droplet is the icing on the cake..!!

The curves are awesome as is the drop.
It looks like it could use just bit more sharpening.

Nice detail. Does this need warmed up a touch or is the plumage naturally this pale?

Classy looking vertical portrait of this species. Like others, I love the water drop.
Why not less shutter speed and more f-stop for deeper dof? Or even iso800 with
even more options for increased dof for the forebody of the bird? There's nothing
at all "wrong" with the image as is...just wondering about your thoughts on dof...

Thanks for the comment and remark. Yes, I could have gone up with the ISO for this frame, but the flamingo was constantly moving and feeding, so I didn't want to risk any motion blur with a smaller aperture. In any way, I think I was just too close to have any more effective DOF with the 500mm lens.

    Thanks again for the comments.

Terrific portrait, Lorant. Love the pose...the curve of the neck to the curve of the beak works so nicely. The water drop is a big plus. I concur with Arash on a tad more sharpening.
