    This is a front lit image of the cooperative burrowing owl posted on 11-04-12. Nikon D7000, Nikkor 600mm, f7.1, 1/1600, iso 400, distance 15 meters.

    Gary, excellent stare, details, BG and exposure. Burrowing owls are terrific subjects.

    If mine, I'd move the bird a little to the right in the frame for better balance. Cropping a bit from right will also achieve that.

    Excellent image, beutifu lose and great background, Gary. I would darken the perch a little bit.

    Love that stare Gary - and this rendition of the Burrowing owl has improved contrast and colour compared to your last post. A very nice portrait.

    I like the pose, eye contact details and sharpness. I would tone down the perch and crop using Kaustubh's recommendation.
