Other processing, remask to add the osprey, Adjust to bring lighting on the osprey down. Flood to calm the water (didn't like the choppiness of the water, didn't go with "after the storm"

A bit of simplify to smooth things out.

--Things are still in a mess around here, but with power back on I wanted to try to do a pic.--

Mitch, I hope you get back to normal soon. It still looks like a mess from TV coverage and I'm sure the nor'easter didn't help. I love the processing on this one. The sky with the greenish tinge looks very ominous.

I like the painterly look. The sky certainly looks ominous...

Gorgeous elements in this image! The water, the clouds, the horizon, the bird, the glow, the composition. Somehow, the elements don't come together for me--the reflection of the clouds in the water doesn't seem quite right--maybe it could a a bit choppier, seems too calm. I'm not sure of lighting--would that wing of the Osprey be lighted? I'm not saying it wouldn't be, just wondering. The muted colors work really well. Glad you have power again.

Hi Mitch hope all is well, I like the image and it has potential, I do agree about the Osprey, I might have removed the sunlite spot on the birds head and darkened the wing a bit.....but minor tweaks will make this a winner

I really like the image overall, especially the sky. I agree with above comments re: the bird and water, but it's fine as is.
