This little fuzzball Sandhill Crane colt and its sibling were quite the little swimmers. They were hatched on March 19 & 20 consecutively, at almost the same time of day. Here on the 21st, they were happy little campers on the water.

    Marina:

Another cute one! These guys have such interesting faces with their unusual hairdos! Sharp, well exposed, great angle, nice colors. Based on the reflections, I would say it needs a sliver of CCW rotation. Love the catchlight.

    Cheers

Hi Marina, great swimming angle, and love the fluffiness. At this size, its amazing how large they will actually grow. I agree with Randy on the rotation.

Another sweet sweet portrait of a colt from you, Marina. Love the ripples, the look at you, and the absolute fluffiness. Another vote for CCW rotation.

Although Sandhill Cranes are common in my area, I've never seen a colt this young. Thanks for sharing.

Nice little cutie, Marina. Beside the chick, I like the green water and some brownish reflections that seem to match the colour of the chick.

About as cute as it gets. I think you could use your crane images to create a wonderful children's book.

I did not even need to look at your name to know this was yours from the thumbnail!
Very nice sharpness, tough to make them look that way.

Oh my gish this is cute! Love the swimming behavior and intimate shooting angle.
Agree about slight need for ccw rotation and also agree with Arash regarding comp ratio.
