I found this little beauty sitting on the fence pole at the edge of my orchard.
I used a Canon 40D with a 100-400 IS lens. The bluebirds nest every year in my bird boxes here in Pennsylvania. Image was cropped to get rid of distracting fence poles.
    Enjoy

    HI JAnet,

What a cute little subject. I find a little unsharp though. :(

However, I fell that you got a nice composition and a not even bothersome perch (for me a least).

I guess the perch could be better...speaking of which, because of the man made perch I've moved your post to the "Hand of Man" forum :-) Subject and composition look good. Just a little soft.

As others have said......good composition but a little soft. The colors are beautiful on this little guy. It's always helpful to post the technical info on your images as it will often give added information to help in a critique. This image looks like the focus point may have been more on the chest than the head.

Hi Janet Try posting the rest of the tech info Was wondering if the slight lack of sharpness has to do with movement? I like the bg and pose a lot !!!

    Default Tech Info.

I was using my Canon 10D not the 40D as I posted earlier. Settings were at 1/350 6.7f and ISO of 200. The lens was all the way out at 400. I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the comments everyone.
