    Default Egret Silhouette

Taken at my favourite location in the Pilanesberg national park, I underexposed this image and changed my white balance to cloudy to create more warmth of the early morning.

While I am not a big silhouette fan, I think this is terrific.
The color is spectacular, and the image looks creepy as it should be.
    Very nice.

You sure succeeded in getting the warmth in the early morning light Stuart! I like your composition of this silhouette with the diagonal branch and the raised leg of the egret.
I would like to see another version with the sky about 1/2stop brighter for comparison.

I like silhouettes and this one is nice. The raise foot and the warm mottled sky color are beautiful. Well done...

What a gem of a photo, Stuart !

It may seem like a small thing, but I find great appeal in the horizontal branch extending at the bottom. It adds an anchoring factor to the whole image.

The sense of motion with the raised, stepping leg is a huge plus.

And the BG -- oh, the BG colors ! WOW !

    Nicely done.

Super shot. Great comp and pose; raised foot makes it. Very nicely seen and executed.

As you know I am a fan of silhouettes, and this one is very well done indeed. I like the climbing action of the subject, and the branch is very interesting. Great BG!
