    Hi,

This little fellow was on the ground picking up some food near a swampy area. I was trying to get as low as possible but still wud'nt get any decent shots since there were lots of foliage around him. Unexpectedly, he just flew up to a nearby branch (and that too with far off background elements) which enabled me to take few quick shots with a neat bokeh.

This image is 60% of the original. Was not able to make up my mind if I should run another round of USM.
    All critiques welcome.

As posted the sharpness is fine. Beautiful subject, with a nice background colour. The image could possibly go a bit brighter ( ~ 1/3 stop ).

Nice perching pose. What is in the bill?

Agree with Daniel about a bit more lighter image. Just a bit dark for me.

I also agree about the comments, sharpness is OK to my eyes, a little lighter would work. Like to see images from the Sigma 500, I'm looking for one (pretty difficult down here where I live, tough...), seems like a sharp nice lens. How do you like the AF?

I like the bird, the perch, the BG, and the bug. Also agree the that a little more brightness would make this image.

Thank you for the feedback & the re-post. Re-post surely looks better when I compare the 2 images.

@ Patricio : Sigma 500mm f4.5 is a fantastic lens with very fast & silent focussing. The image quality is excellent too. However it hunts a lot when trying to auto-focus with a TC on, but when manually focussed with upto 2x TC, the image quality is still very good.
