Last week I found this lone brown pelican diving for food. (Activity is very slow just now; this is the only decent image I got.-- things should heat up soon). It is full frame and tweaked only a little bit in LR. Appreciate suggestions?

Good pose Wendell, it is quite evident that the pelican is scanning for fish. Sharp and good details on the wings. I find the sky too saturated (but I like the subtle gradient in it), and I would move the subject back in the frame for better compositional balance.

Super pose you captured here and the pelican is nice and sharp. Agree on the sky being a tad over-saturated and would like to see the bird placed in the right side of the frame. The bird is currently placed pretty much in the center, and I feel your subject would be stronger if it were off center some.

Marina, thanks. The image is un-cropped, now I can see how it would be improved with the crop you suggest
