The eagle was attracted by a fish thrown out as bait. Gulls were squabbling around the fish and the activity attracts the hunting eagles. I noticed that as they circled lower to lose height they invariably turned over almost onto their back before lining themselves up for the final dive and run in to pick up the fish.

Very dynamic pose and a purposeful stare. I would selectively brighten the bird a little Melvin. We'll miss you at the Bosque next week!

Nicely captured Melvin - and you caught that turn very well, it made me look twice before I realized the eagle was almost on its back! Well done.

What an amazing pose you got here! I also like the look of concentration this individual has. Very well composed image. I too could see the subject lightened more, but overall quite a strong image.
