Although we don't have much of one in the Northwest US, I saw my Coyotes in my local refuge for the first
time since midsummer when they looked scrawny in the summer coats.
Life has obviously been good to them lately.
This guy was running through the meadow.

Nice healthy looking coat on this one Dan and I like the bounding turn. Also like the color of the surrounding grasses. Probably overcast when you took this but it could use a touch of brightening for my taste.

Hi Dan - The coyote does look like it had a good summer and is well prepared for winter. Gorgeous coat and good pov. I agree with Steve on brightening it a bit and also think you needed a bit more ss in the field as it is not as sharp as your usual posts.

Hi Dan, well timed, nicely executed.

Love the contrast between FG & BKG works well with the subject and helps separate the head nicely. Interesting about the 'brightening' comment, I thought a selective Linear contrast works just to give it a boost?

I'm with Steve here - a bit more contrast or even selective darkening and it will pop more. It also looks like it could use another slight round of USM on the coyote itself?
Nice timing and framing here Dan

My first thought when I saw the image was a ever-so-slight pop was needed, so I am with Steve and Morkel on this one. Nice to see the full coat and some motion here.
