Another from my in-camera vertical compositions that I was practising the other day. This one is a bit more than FF...added canvas right, top, and bottom. That was a close call...I could have / should have zoomed out even more, but all turned out well! Many more images were trashed rather than kept

Canon 7D + 100-400L @320mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2000s., f/6.3, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, top wing lightened a bit.

Another great BIF image Daniel - good detail in the whites and I like the vertical presentation and the bit of cloud adds interest to the sky IMO. Excellent work Daniel and further example of the capabilities of the 7D and 100-400 lens..!!

    Hi Daniel,
I really like the vertical position and the exposure/detail is excellent. Great in flight catch. I like the bit of clouds in the background too.

Pretty good job on getting this bird in a vertical composition, not easy at all! nice whites and eye contact. I am also enjoying the sky.

Beautiful plumage details Daniel and great pose - just shows what some might call 'relatively modest equipment' can do in the hands of a competent photographer!

Nice BIF shot. Great banking pose. Good exposure control on the whites. I shoot allot of terns in flight and keeping the whites in good shape in changing BGs can be a challenge. Sharp and full of detail too. Well done..
