    Default Broad-billed Hummingbird

Thanks for the constructive comments on my first post. I never paid much attention to the head angle.
I guess I was always more interested in the catchlight.
I made a number of exposures of this little bird and this was the best head angle with the bill still in focus.
    Thanks for looking...tom

Got the head angle and pays in having the bill tip in perfect focus !!! I like the pose and bg Also like the placement just right of center .... and good catch light !!!! Could give it a slight curves boost !!!

    excellent take.
always difficult to say in case of humming birds if they have been over-sharpened. i'm confused about it in this case too...

Very pretty. The colours are gorgeous, and the iridescence beautifully portrayed. If there was one thing to improve it would be to bring the bright patch of the BG located below the bill more in line with the rest of the BG (toning it down a bit). Still super!

Very nice capture Thomas. I love the composition, BG and colors of it all. It appears just fine with sharpness for me. Nice and off center too.

    Great capture Thomas,
Love the colors on your bird, composition is good and the soft background makes him pop...:D

Very nicely done Thomas! Like the bird and the perch, as well as the BG.

Very nice image. One thing I would point out is the lighter area in the BG in the top left corner. I find ita bit distracting and would clone it out if it were mine. Nice work!

Very well done. Lovely composition and colors. Have a little feeling of an oversharpening.
