    Hello every one!
One more hummer in flight image. For this one I used four fashes, a print as background and lured the bird with sugar water. In the real wold they do feed on this flowers.

Canon MK3+300f/4@f/11+ISO 200+SS1/125, PS, almost FF.

    Comments and feedback most welcome.

    Juan:
I am not seeing an image with this post. Can you try and adding it again? If it doesn't work, just do a reply to your own post and add the photo there.

    Juan,

You have lots of color on this little guy, very nice. I love the curl on the flower petal and the watchful eye the hummingbird is giving you. Very sharp and great composition.

Pretty perfect in my opinion. Colors are beautiful and your flash tech is great. I would not have thought it was a painted BG, but I am not a multiflash setup expert. Nice work, Juan Carlos.

Your BG looks good, and the bird has given you a nice pose that highlights its iridescence. I like the curled up flower petal. But there's not enough light on the bird's head IMO.

    Juan:

Very nice on many levels as mentioned. My first impression was that the face/head looks a bit too dark, before seeing Doug's comments. I suspect this fellow has a very dark head, but a little more light there would help I believe.

Very clever set-up and the multiple flash stopped the action nicely. I wish his head was not in shadow. Beautiful colors!

Very nice, Juan! I agree with the comments regarding the dark head. Maybe a little selective lightening will do the trick! I like the use of the adjustment brush in ACR for this type thing. You have to be carful with it, as you can cause a halo around the lightened area though.

Thanks every one for your kind comments, I guess you are right about the dark head, something to work on the next time. Thanks Dan for your suggestion regarding the adjustment brush!

Another superb hummer image from you Juan, can't fault - and the introduced BG looks very natural and works well for me.

All the helpful comments have been made. It is a nicely composed and captured image which clearly shows the contrasting iridescence of this species.

Hola, Juan Carlos. A pretty nice attempt. The background looks good, and it's a nice comp and flower. The shadow cast by the flash hitting the flower from left on the bird's head is the big drawback as others have mentioned.

    Cheers,
    Greg
