this is very neat Vivaldo - the foreground and background water is almost indistinguishable except for the reflection. The darker blue path of the grebe makes a nice contrast here. The warm light on the grebe against the cool blues adds impact. Well seen and taken..!!

Great low angle shot. Excellent lighting and nice HA/eye contact, Vivaldo.

I like the grebe but I am a little ill at ease with the colour and saturation of the water.

    Vivaldo:

Lovely little grebe, excellent shooting angle, smooth water. Because the reflection is weak (from the low angle) I could see a tighter crop on the bird.

    Cheers

Nice grebe and peaceful mood in this image. I would dest the blue/cyan a tad. Nice warm light too.

Thanks for comments and suggestions I have reduced saturation and cyan's. I hope the water colors looks better.

Personally, I love the original shot! The rework is a little on the "pastelly" and the Grebe looks a little too orange. Maybe just try and adjust the tone of blue in the original and I agree with the above that a slightly tighter crop might work. Outstanding image, mood and light!

Vivaldo, I love low angle and the colors in the original post, but think you could pop up some details in the feathers etc.
I took the liberty to re-work it and hope you don't mind. Used Nik Color Efex Pro's Detail Extractor, which works great especially with feathers. WDYT?

Shreyas thanks very much, I like the extra detail in your version, colors look good as well. I have a issue when posting, my images look very different on the site compared to my original. I need to calibrate my screen at home and hopefully that will help
