    I shot this image earlier this year @ a local fen. These are male pelicans in breeding plumage. They all have orange beaks & feet & a fibrous growth on their bills that they lose after mating season.

    I cropped to a more pano version to emphasize the pelicans. It's sharpened with slight adjustments in levels & curves. I also added some saturation & contrast—just a smidgen of each (10 pts.)

    I really like group shots, but often its a struggle to get good poses and head angles on multiple birds. 4/5 matching head angles is pretty good!

    Pano was the only way to go here, I could even see a bit more off the top.

    You might be able to tease out a bit more detail in the whites on the backs of several of the birds.

    Colors are nice.

    great capture Andrew - They all posed for you pretty much on the same plane! i like the common head-turn on the 4, good exposure and the pano crop works very well here.
