I really liked this perching spot as the background looked beautiful. Unfortunately the bird turned his head away from me most of the time.
For the rest of the time it set down like on this image. I still like it very much as this spot gave me the most colourful background.
I did most of the PP on the bird only. I applied NR to the background and sharpened the spider web with the sharpening tool at 50%.
I removed one branch which was growing out from where you see the knot.
    Thanks for looking.

Lovely image Karl. The background is indeed very nice...
The details on the wren are excellent. The light quality is very good, as is the
flashwork on your part. I think the spider web adds a nice visual touch here.
The head angle of the bird could be better imo...(a slight head turn to the bird's left
might have worked even better). Great eye level view of the bird, and the entire
bird shows well. The perch has some nice character.

A wonderful image, Karl. If it were mine, I would crop just a tad from the top, and a bit more from the right. You might consider also removing the multiple highlights in the eye, leaving just the single brightest one. Other than that, it's near perfect. Great OOF background and great colors.

Exposure, sharpeness, colours all look great. BG is fantastic!! HA is OK to me. I'd prefer the subject higher in the frame, and for me the single/strand spider web does not add but rather distracts. Perch is a bit thick for this subject but it does have just another character to make it look good overall.

Hi Karl, well positioned to have captured this fellow posed against that colourful BG. I like the angle of the wren too. I agree moving him up in the frame, and as the spider web is not connected to anything in the frame, I have to go along that it doesnt add. Im all for spider webs tucked in against branches though.

Beautiful Bg compliments the bird very well. Just my taste , but I would have gotten rid of the web.

    Thank you all.
Spider web is gone. I changed the crop from 7x5 to 12x8 that took some canvas off from the top.
I also sharpened the bird a little more. (0.5/35)

Very nice Karl, a really sweet little bird and captured very well.
I do think just a tad off the right would look nice.

Repost makes this one even better! I was not a big fan of that spider thread.
