    Default Australasian Grebe (Tachybaptus novaehollandiae)

Taken today on the way home from work. I have been watching this pair for the last couple of weeks whilst they have been getting ready to nest.

Just wish the pond scum was not behind the bird :(

    Thanks you looking.

That's a good looking grebe! Well exposed, sharp (but the details seem to be a bit lost...heavy crop?). Good low angle, excellent head angle. I'd love the subject a little higher in the frame, and the image seems a little yellow overall, perhaps judiscioulsy adding some blues in "Color Balance" would do the trick.
