Default Snowy Egret Reflects on Estero

Taken at Estero Lagoon, Fort Myers, last Feb. I was sitting in the water with my tripod. My techs are wonky as this was before my conversion to Manual mode (1/5000 of a sec? yeesh). I really liked the colors of the water and the reflection. Taken in vertical but cropped a bit.
Thanks so much in advance for any comments and critiques.

Very nice colors and a great fishing pose here. Nice exposure and it was a good choice to put yourself in the level of getting the reflection. Only thing I could wish for is a clear water to have the reflection sharper at least at the head, but it wasn't up to you. Great work, Melissa.

Lovely capture with nice details in the feathers and I like the pose. I see a slight cast on your bird mostly likely as a result of the reflecting green water. I would select only the bird to adjust.

Thanks all. Marina, you put your finger on what was bugging me. Here's a repost addressing it. Hope it's removed now.

Wonderful photo. Snowys are difficult subjects with all those bright white feathers. The repost definitely takes care of my only complaint, which was the slight color cast. LOVE that background, it frames the bird nicely.

The repost has made the whites of the heron more appealing.
The image has a serene quality to it...peaceful....even though I
know the heron is about some serious hunting.

Hi Melissa, I like the inquistive pose, as if the egret is looking at his own reflection. Exposure looks good, and your repost has turned out well.

very nice, I like the green tones in the water. repost has improved the whites but it still shows a cast to my eyes.

Just a beautiful frame! And removing the cast definitely made it a stronger image. Well done!
