    Default unsure about this sparrow

    This was taken a few days ago on Gabriola Island just off of Nanaimo BC. I think it could be a Savannah Sparrow but I am very unsure because of the slightly yellow lore and the pinkish beak. Not the best picture either, but he/she didn't want to come out of the shade. Any help much appreciated!

    It looks like a Golden Crowned Sparrow to me. The heavy back streaking contrasting with an unmarked rump are characteristic. Savannah Sparrows have finer streaking including the rump. Also on Savannah |Sparrow te tails feathers are edged in white.
