    I took a stroll along the trail just to see what was available.
    I carried the camera by the handle, just in case.

    Hi Karl, great pose and HA, and just love the detail and various colours on the head. I like how the perch 'meanders' through the bottom of the frame.

    I like this frame Carl. Good light on the bird and a nice pose, perch, and BG. Sharpness is pretty decent considering the focal length, shutter speed, and hand holding.

    Nicely done and well improvised. Pretty tough hand-holding the lens at this speed and getting a decent sharpness. I would have gone up with the ISO...the MKIV can handle it. Nice one, Karl.

    Nice frontal view shot. Quite sharp at 1/250 and hand held. Looks like a female or juvenile.

    A nice sparrow, TFS! I am liking the BG and sharp eye. I do wish for a smaller in diameter perch.
