I know a place deep in the woods where there are some Great Horned Owls. As I walked up, the GHOs were hooting away. I grabbed my gear to setup and I heard a Barred Owl in the mix. It was awesome to have 2 types of owls to photograph.

Lucky you! I've seen some GHO's, but never a Barred Owl. I love their faces.
I am enjoying the environmental aspect of this one. If you had been able to take one step to your right, you would have been able to better isolate the BO from the branch above it. Your owl is not looking sharp on my monitor. Could probably use some sharpening. It would help if you could share your equipment and settings when we do our critiques.
Mike:
Fun to find two different species of owls near each other. Agree with Marina re: sharpness. Almost looks like motion blur in some areas. Shooting details would help a lot.
Cheers
Randy
I agree to the right, but it is a very nice shot of the Barred.

Great shot emphasizing the environment Mike. I agree the composition would be enhanced if the owl was moved slightly to the right.
Nice shot.
I really like the habitat and great pose.
Well done.
Ditto moving a step or two to your right at time of capture, and for more sharpening for web presentation. Great habitat depicted, and I can imagine your excitement at being able to photograph two large species of owl at he same area!
It must have been a great experience, Mike. Nice shot of the Barred.
My most remarkable birding day was; driving 450 km, walking 25 km and seeing six Owl species in one day.
Cool looking owl, nice to know there were two close by. I would crop 3:2 if was mine, but still is good as presented.
Almost the perfect camouflage! nice capture and beautiful bird.
I sharpening and moved the Owl to the right.
MIKE
The original thought was to have you move to the right before shooting, to provide more separation of the birds head from the arching branch. And although it would have helped, your reframing of the image has helped a lot, as I far prefer the hanging moss to the somewhat cluttered BG on the right in the original!
Nice improvement.

Thaks Randy.
