Here is yet an other image of this great songster.
I think this is my favorite shot.
On the right hand side, that green spot was very bright, that I fixed in PP.
Also I toned down the whites on the bird.
    Thanks for looking.

Lovely shot and pose super colours in the bird. I think I would be tempted to bring the highlights down a little further, I suspect more plumage detail would become apparent.

I can see why its your favorite Karl - an exquisite liitle bird very nicely portrayed here. Lovely rich colours, great composition and subject sharp as a tack.

    Karl:

The birds pose is great, love the feet, nice DOF. Agree about the whites. As much as I think the color of the right portion of the perch is perfect for the bird, I wish it wasn't quite so prominent in front of him.

    Cheers

Beautiful image Karl. I like HA, perch, eye detail and BG colors. Agree with loss of white detail TFS.

I love the eye contact here, Karl. Pretty background as well.

Super pose, BG. The perch could be better / nicer, but the shape and angle of it does go well for this image in particular.

Nice Image Karl.I will second Randy's opinion on the perch in front of the bird being a little distracting as it draws the eye towards it.TFS

    Karl:

Because the wood in front of the perch is red, it really 'comes forward' in the image. You might be able to desat it just slightly to help if be less 'forward' in the image, and let the bird be the dominate element.

    Cheers

Very nice shot and scene. Exposed well and love the position of the bird and HA. BG and details are nice too. Perch dosnt bother me too much but if its a big deal I think the BG is right for complete removal. Well done..

Hi Karl, I like how the pose of the wren follows the line of the perch. Good detail and colours on the wren, and good call on toning down part of the BG.

Love the pose, colors, and details Karl. The perch was, I am suspecting, not a set up? And I am fine with the perch as well. Especially if not a set up. Nice capture!

Thanks, Jon. The perch wan not a setup. It is part of a dead tree being knocked over sometimes this year.
This is where the bird forages in a little patch of forest.
I did some changes after all as suggested by most of the people who took their time and made suggestions.
    Thank you all.
I turned the red down in selective colors.
I did some more linear burn on the whites and applied some extra sharpening to the head.

I like the pose, perch, details and BG. Whites look better in the repost. Well done Karl.
