    Is Oystercatcher one or two words? This one in Tampa Bay was captured with a Mark III and a 500 +2x.

    It's one word, but "American Oystercatcher" is two!! (Just to be specific :-) )

    You had some harsh light to deal with, but you did alright. The legs could go darker to bring out the pinkish hue in them. CW rotation is also needed.

    Nice pose and eye contact, he really is eating an oyster, right? I agree regarding rotation and would tone down the highlights.

    Very nice, Susan, great advice given above. You should take advantage of the 800 pixel allowance and don;t forget to include your specs to better evaluate :)

    Beautiful Bird Susan. While I feel I am far to new to offer critique to anyone, I do know a lovely bird when I see one. What a spectacular looking eye.
