We were feeding some small songbirds from our palm which is a favorite passtime of my wife, when se spotted a Winter Wren.
I played the chipping note of the WIWR a few times and this bird popped up.
    Thanks for looking.

Beautiful portrait of this wren, Karl. Love the soft colors in the background and the inquisitive look and upstretched neck. Wonderful IQ and sharpness.

Lovely shot Karl, I think it could be darkened a tad, toning down the whites a bit.
Perch, comp and BG are spot on.

Exquisite presentation of this little wren Karl. Love the warm colours of the bird matching with similar tones of the BG.

    Karl:

Very sweet little fellow, with excellent pose, good perch, very nice comp.

I might consider toning down the lighter OOF round edges in the BG.

I agree with Dan about the whites, just tone down the throat a sliver, would work well I think.

    Cheers

I agree with the whites...but about as perfect composition as one could get I think and complimentary background

Nice subtle flash work on this one. I like the composition, particularly the bird's curious pose with a nice bit
of tail showing too. A very pleasing image of the species Karl, and I think there have been some good suggestions
    regarding improving it.
