I should evaluate the image on it's own, but I can't. Your other image from this shoot...the horizontal that you have featured on your "favorites" page on your website...that is THE pinnacle image of this species, (will there ever be a better image of this species than that one?!)...this one is great as well, but frankly plays second fiddle to that shot....anyway, you've not mentioned it here, but certainly you used audio as part of making this image no?
I agree with Shawn. This is a beautiful image of this species and has all your great elements of world class photography but the shot of this species you have and put on the add for the e-book is just Awesome!! Great inspiring work.

One of the best Bluethroat pictures I've ever seen, perfect, Alan.
It's a beauty. Lovely subject, great perch, singing, complimentary background. As nice as the other one is, so is this one, and perhaps allows me to linger a bit longer on the lovely colors and patterns on the "blue" throat. A worthy image in its own right.
Beautiful bird, beautiful pose, perch, BG. On my screen the bird seems just a bit coarse compared to your earlier version, but since no one else commented, it's probably me.
