This cheeky juvenile semipalmated plover, (if memory serves me right, it was giving a little toot here), was photographed
during fall migration 2011 in Northern Minnesota. I enjoy the canvas of colors that this location can provide, particularly
in the fall when the greens turn golden. SonyA300, Sigma50/500, iso400, f9, 1/1000, removed several dust sensor spots,
cropped, selective NR to the bg, USM. Comments and critiques welcome. BTW, I like double catchlights, particularly when
they occur naturally, as is the case here, with the sun reflecting off the water...
    Regards,
    Shawn Zierman.

What light! Exquisite! Most appealing detail and color and pose. The bird's cheekiness comes through in pleasing ways. Well done!

Beautiful light ,colors and low angle.I feel the bg could use some NR. I like seeing this guy in the autumn colors as opposed to the normal beach tones.

Very nice! I like his nice big eye and the head angle. He still has the look of a baby.

    Shawn:

    Lovely colors, pose, sharpness.
Just for personal taste, a tiny sliver more room on the bottom.

    Well executed.

    Cheers
