Chris, this is a spectacular image with great detail and a very dynamic feel. Not much more I can add :)

    Chris:

Lovely colors, sharpness, wing position. Generally a shot form this angle can have problems with the head getting lost against the body, but the strong eye contact works here.

Is the BG as shot, or did you do some softening in post?

    Cheers

Odd looking face on this bird, but the eye contact with camera is great, liking the earthy color tones too, majestic wing form captured

The eye contact makes it really special for me. Colors are beautiful and the BG is almost unreal. Great work, Chris.
