This is one of the adult males in the group of owls I have been photographing. Taken this spring right after sunrise.

Thanks as always for looking and your input. Appreciated.

This is an interesting subject, sharp, well exposed and with a good background. But I do wish it's head had been turned more toward you, so that we could see more of the other eye.

A slight head turn more towards the camera to show off those great eyes would improve slightly, but great portrait nonetheless...loving it !

Very nice close up and very nice details.
I agree, a bit of a head turn and eye contact would be better, but
a very nice portrait as is.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I have many shots with different head angles but its funny how hard it is to get the head at the right angel to make the eyes pop without any shadow in the eyes. I also liked seeing the sunrise in the eye on this one. Thanks..

There is a bit of a head angle issue here as mentioned....actually even if the bird had turned away from you enough
to "hide" the other eye, I think I would like it even more...but the head angle issue is minor here imo, because the
composition and light quality are so good as to overcome it. Love the background.
