    Default Fall Migration Sand Hill

    Hello, this Sand Hill Crane was shot this morning as one of the 8,000 or so Sand Hill Cranes that are on their fall migration. Thanks for looking and do appreciate and comments!

    7D, iso:320, 1/2500, f/5.6, 500mm + 1.4, handheld.

    Great capture Gary. Love the wing position on this one. The hint of orange on the bg adds a tremendous amount to the image. I'm looking forward to seeing these guys come in next month!

    Nice image, lovely BG to set him off. bird is nice and sharp throughout you have done well at f5.6 to get such a big bird sharp across the wings and body.

    Very nice, sharp and nicely lit, love those big beautiful wings....8000 birds....wow, that must be quite some spectacle

    Excellent in flight image of this species. The background and light quality make the image
    for me. It's refreshing seeing non-bosque flight images of this species with a forested background.
